Instead, job seekers often encounter lengthy and confusing processes that demand significant effort with no assured outcome.Employ recently conducted a survey of 1,500 respondents to understand their job search experiences. Although the study was conducted in the United States, the findings reflect a global trend in the hiring process. These insights reveal just how exhausting job searching can be and highlight the aspects of the process that frustrate job seekers the most.
The realities of today’s job market demand significant effort from job seekers, and employers must take this into account when shaping their hiring processes. Understanding the pain points that candidates encounter at each stage — from searching for jobs to undergoing interviews — enables employers to optimize their processes, creating a more candidate-friendly and transparent hiring experience.
